Guest Safety

Please note that as of Aug 25, 2021 masks are now mandatory in all public indoor spaces across BC. Therefore, masks are also mandatory in the public, indoor areas of the hotel, by all employees, guests and visitors. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

With the current state of COVID-19 emergency, our top priority is the safety and well being of our staff and our visiting guests.  This hotel takes extra precautions to sanitize and fully disinfect all surfaces and touch points in guests rooms and all common touch points throughout our hotel with hospital-grade Oxivir® Five 16.

Oxivir® Five 16 disinfects hard surfaces in just five minutes. Powered by AHP® technology, Oxivir® Five 16 is effective against organisms such as bacteria, viruses and fungi that can cause healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Oxivir® Five 16 falls into the lowest hazard category, requiring no safety warnings or personal protective equipment. It is also environmentally safe, as its unique chemistry allows it to break down to oxygen and water after use.

We ask that guests assist us with our safety precautions by:

  • Practicing social distancing (6 feet minimum distance) from staff and other guests
  • Sanitizing hands at provided station when they enter the hotel
  • Sanitizing all outside items, including food packaging, that they bring into the hotel immediately upon entering their guest suites
  • Washing their hands frequently with soap and water

In addition, we have modified our housekeeping service to the following:

Dear valued guest,

Our number one priority is the health, safety, and well-being of our guests and our staff. Rest assured, our team is monitoring the evolving impact of the coronavirus (COVID19) and are paying close attention to recommendations from WHO and Health Canada and taking every measure to ensure your safety and protection while you stay with us.

How COVID-19 impacts your stay:

  • Our housekeeping team will NOT be providing services within guest rooms during your stay.
  • Should you require towels, linen exchange, or additional waste bags during your stay, please notify the front desk and we will supply you with a plastic bag to put your soiled linens in and additional waste bags and any other amenities you request.
  • We ask that you tie your used linen and waste bags and leave them outside of your room between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM for pick-up.
  • Your requested replacement items will be left just inside your room, beside the front door at the same time, between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

For any specific questions regarding our strict cleaning protocols and the products we use for your safety, please contact General Manager, Mike Kopp. mike@witmar.com
